I personally consider
myself a sandwich connoisseur, so I notice things like the quality
of the meat, cheese and definitely the bread. As far as quality
goes, Mikey's is tops. |

|
Some of you may remember
this establishment when it was O'Flannigan's or more recently
Homer's Pizza. Well, the new owners have kept what was good, added
to it and created a whole new menu of items that are truly
delicious. |

|
Let's
start with the pizza. Well, they seemed to have made few changes
when it comes to this, which is good because Homer's had a darn good
pizza. They have, however, changed a few things like the pepperoni
(a change for the better). |

|
The
French Dips are awesome. The bread they use is special order and
near perfect. The roast beef among the other varieties of dip
sandwiches is very high quality. My only real gripe is that they do
not put enough of this delicious meat in the sandwiches. As a matter
of fact I found myself putting the meat from one half of the
sandwich into the other so as to have that stuffed sandwich feel.
That being said, the bread was so good that I ate the other emptied
half while dipping it in the au jus that comes with it, which is
also very good. |

Gotta
mention the onion rings. To put it simply they rock. Some of the
best I have ever had. Again, the only problem is the portion. "More
I say"! |

There are 2 pool tables,
darts, video games including Golden Tee Golf, Pac Man and a cd
jukebox. |

Overall I really like
Mikey's and the food quality is exceptional. The place is fun, has a
great outdoor patio (and yes you can take alcohol onto the patio),
is family friendly and the crowd so far seems to be filled with
friendly sports fans. |
